Aysha Scott
Aysha Scott, from Deptford, South London, is an independent filmmaker and Founder of Filmmaking Planner. She began her career in 2005 after training at the Anna Scher Theatre School. With over twenty years of experience across film, TV, and theatre, Aysha has excelled in acting, directing, writing, producing, editing, and casting. In 2014, she earned a BA (Hons) Creative Writing Degree from South Bank University, receiving the Course Directors Prize for outstanding scriptwriting achievements. Her work is now studied at the university.
Post-graduation, Aysha's theatre piece 'Unspoken' was commissioned and showcased for nine nights. She founded A-Scott Productions to support her films. Her first indie feature, 'Residential,' premiered at the British Urban Film Festival in 2016, earning two award nominations. Aysha also completed a Directors Certificate at Raindance.
In 2017, she wrote and produced the award-winning short 'It Still Hurts,' which won Best International Short at the Validate Yourself Film Festival in New York. She was awarded a Women in TV and Film membership and was mentored by Nicola Lees.
Aysha produced the multi-award-winning 'Voice of Reason,' in 2018 and made her directorial debut with 'Dismissed,' which has over 1.1 million views on her own YouTube channel and was selected for 12 festivals, and is available on several streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Bohemia.
Aysha's written works 'Collide' (2022) and 'Misconduct' (2023) were commissioned and produced by Matchstick Theatre Company and showcased at the Matchstick Pie House.
In 2023, Aysha was part of the BFI Cohort at the European Film Market with her feature debut, 'Angel,' in development, alongside the 90’s crime drama 'Tanya', also in development. In the same year she launched Filmmaking Planner, a company dedicated to providing custom planning tools and stationery dedicated to empowering and inspiring other indie filmmakers.
Angel

Together, mother and son navigate the chaos and hardship, striving to rebuild their broken family and find stability amidst the turmoil.
Dismissed
DISMISSED is a UK drama short in which a teacher attempts to identify a girl in her class who is being affected by bullying. Her world unravels when she discovers a suspicious note, sparking a desperate quest to identify and save the vulnerable student, only to realise how little she truly knows about her pupils.
It Still Hurts
IT STILL HURTS is a social impact film where Aiden, a 19-year-old awaiting trial for a fatal assault, and his innocent best friend Brian confront the haunting memories of Aiden’s abusive childhood. As they sit in a court cell, their bond is tested by the ghosts of their past and the uncertainty of their future, revealing a powerful tale of brotherhood and the lasting scars of trauma.
